Charlene Rowley is a self taught designer. She is a self proclaimed magpie, attracted to all things that sparkle. At 12 years old, she was hand sewing Barbie doll clothes for herself and her sister. Then one glorious christmas, her parents purchased an old singer sewing machine that sat in a cabinet. Well there was no turning back after that! Her creative imagination led to wonderful things when she delved into the art of costuming. There are no walls or barriers as to what can be produced.
"I think that having no technical, schooling background has actually helped me, because I don't feel there are any limitations that can be put upon me".
Charlene lives in the suburbs of Vancouver B.C. Canada with her 3 children and husband of 16 years.
